From her studio at Deemouth Artist Studios in Aberdeen, Mags hand builds her work taking inspiration from new sources each year. These have included sea pods, shallow pond-like bowls and Lowry's stooping matchstick figures. Her large and small jugs are her favourite pieces to create as they allow her to use quirky surface designs whilst creating functional pieces.

She is one of four designers that make up the Look Inside Collective which explores Aberdeen's beautiful granite building, roadways and unique names to create contemporary souvenirs.

Mags also creates social and political statements pieces which reflect hard hitting narratives while retaining an aesthetically pleasing quality. Her aim is to create pieces which primarily attracts the viewer then demands consideration for the subject matter.
